AS

Component 1 – Coursework Portfolio
You will produce a portfolio of work, using a variety of media/materials which will develop your own personal style, and area of expertise. You will be required to show an understanding of contemporary and historic art sources and produce your own responses

Component 2 – Externally set Assignment
You will produce a body of work related to a topic chosen from an exam question and complete a final piece of work over one day

A2

Component 1 – Personal Investigation
You will produce a personal investigation of a certain aspect of Art which you have chosen. This includes practical work within a chosen specialism, focussing on your own area of expertise developed at AS and a written element of at least 1000 words; this can be in the form of notes, relating your work to that of other Artists

Component 2 – Externally set Assignment
You will produce a body of work related to a topic chosen from an exam question and complete a final piece of work over three days.

Grade 5 and above in Art or Graphics GCSE
