*Students studying Triple Science in Key Stage 4 also take Science as a subject choice in an option block which means they study 7 lessons of Science in year 9 and 8 lessons of Science in years 10 & 11.
Option subjects offered at the end of Year 8 are: Triple Science (selected students only), Art, Business Studies, Computer Science, Graphic Design, ICT, Music, Media Studies, Product Design and Sports Studies.
In addition to discretely taught subjects, there are a number of themes which permeate throughout the curriculum: Literacy, Numeracy, ICT, Work Related Learning and Enterprise Education.
Students’ entitlement to Work Related Learning and Enterprise Education is met through specially designated activities, e.g. Getting Ahead, Passport to Employability, Head to Head, Careers Fair and Work Experience, in addition to the timetabled subject
